Our premium content to learn the Flutter technology (4 hours of deep diving)
Engineering Manager, Pvotal Tech
I’m a GDE for Flutter and Dart and a Engineering Manager at Pvotal, a Tech company where we explore how we can use Flutter to solve the tech industry’s main problems with bleeding-edge technology. Flutter has not only proved to be a fun and challenging tool, being the main technology that I used in two different startups, but it also brought me to new passions, such as Open Source – with package creation, and contributing to open-source apps, communities – with Flutter Portugal, and education – with sharing what I’ve learned so far via articles and talks.
My mantra is to explore and find via rubber-ducking: many times we don’t have the answers in articles (although WE may be the ones writing them), so we must be comfortable with diving into the unknown, testing, failing, and rambling about it with your team or friends.
Using Flutter allows you to quickly prototype beautiful applications that you can share with the world!
But, what if you want more from your apps? What if you want your users to sync their data between devices? Or restaurants to add plates to their delicious menu? What if you want to see what errors your Flutter app? Or even send a last-minute notification to remind them to drink water!
With Firebase you’ll be to achieve this and much more! Firebase is a suite of tools provided by Google that allows us to quickly add a powerful backend, analytics and engagement capabilities in our app.
In this session, we will see how we can have a restaurant menu application that allows users to login, select their favourite restaurant and get notified about new specialities in the menu!.
Senior Software Engineer, Sono Motors GmbH
Passionate Software Engineer and Content Creator for Flutter Explained. I love to create new applications and explain and teach about programming.
In this workshop, we want to discover the topic of game development and combine it with our favorite Framework, Flutter, to create a fabulous 2D Microgame. We start this workshop by planning our project and creating an empty Flutter project. From there, we create our way up to a prototype that contains the essential things to make a game enjoyable. After the session, you will be able to understand game dev terminology like “game loop” and framework specifics like the “Flame component system”. Additionally, you will have a game prototype that you can share with your friends and family.

Firebase Extensions help you quickly deploy functionality to your app with pre-packaged solutions. This session will reveal the power of Firebase extensions and show you how you can achieve more by doing less on Firebase!
Learn a step-by-step walkthrough and learn how to implement extensions for different purposes in a gallery app, including:
– Trigger Emails directly from Firebase
– Search with Algolia by indexing Firestore
– Resize image and optimize image automatically
– Send SMS and WhatsApp messages via Twillio with an extensions
– Export user data from Firestore
– Add Stripe to your Firebase project and your app
At the end of this workshop, students will significantly understand Extensions and how they can simplify different use cases and speed up the development process.
